Short-term rentals

Most of our short-term inventory exists because of the way Geisinger works. Residents come for three-year programs. Fellows show up for one year. Traveling nurses arrive on thirteen-week contracts. Locum physicians fly in for six-week stretches. None of those situations call for an annual lease, a U-Haul, and a furniture purchase.

So a meaningful share of the portfolio is configured for that reality: monthly lease terms, furnished from day one (or close to it), all-utilities-included where the building allows, and internet active before you walk in. We are not affiliated with Geisinger and not part of any hospital housing program — we are an independent family business that has spent enough years renting to medical staff to know what the work cycle actually looks like.

What “short-term” means here

• Lease terms by the month, generally one to twelve months. Some units allow weekly stays by arrangement.
• Furnished: beds, sofas, dining table, a basic kitchen kit, often linens.
• Utilities included on most short-term units — water, heat, electric, internet, trash. Some include cable.
• Off-street parking included on most units.
• One application, one deposit, one move-in. No furniture rental contracts on the side.

Walking distance, not a commute

Every property we manage sits within a fifteen-minute walk of Geisinger’s main campus — most of them under ten. For someone on a tight call schedule that matters: you can walk home for lunch, change shoes mid-shift, or skip the parking-deck shuffle entirely. The Mill Street commercial core — coffee, restaurants, pharmacy, grocery, bookshop — is even closer. Each unit page lists its own walk time to both.

Send us your dates and a sense of what you need (number of bedrooms, furnished or otherwise, parking, pets) through the form on any unit page or the contact page. We will tell you what is open, what is rolling off in the next sixty days, and where to apply. Most short-term applications can be processed and approved within a few business days.
